Ali is convicted of murdering a 8 year old boy called Ahmad after raping him, 2 years ago. Ali has confessed to the crime. He was 17 years of age at the time. A court in Tehran sentenced him to death and the sentence has been confirmed by Iran's supreme court, and is about to be carried out.

Ali Amiri is a citizen of Afghanistan and has confessed to murder of an 8 year Afghan old boy named Janahmad because of swearing at him. Ali was 13 at the time of murder, and 15 when he was sentenced. The death sentence verdict was later approved by Iran's superior court.

ALI MAHIN TORABI

Ali Mahin Torabi was sentenced for murdering another youth, Mazdak Khodadadian, during an argument in Bani Hashemi High School in February 2003. He was 16 years old at the time.
The mother of the victim demanded blood money, but the father wants to see Ali executed.
The case has recently been sent to Ayatollah Shahrudi, but he did not order the final execution order (Estizan) and instead ordered that the the matter attempted to be resolved by arbitration. If the arbitration fails and Mazdak's father does not settle, Ali's execution will be carried out. Ali Mahin-Torabi is now in Reja’i Shahr prison in Karaj.
AAt December 10, we received information that Ali's file has been sent to the department in charge of executions and that Ali could be executed within a week, but the head of Iran's judiciary, Ayatollah Shahrudi, denied Ali's execution and referring to inconsistencies in the file sent it back for further review.

AMIR AMROLLAHI

Amir Amrollahi (18) was sentenced to death for the murder of another boy during a fight at the age of 16. Amir's execution order was approved by Iran's superior court and his file was sent to the division of enforcement of the judgments.

Behnam Zare is convicted of an alleged murder committed when
he was 15 years old. He has been imprisoned in the Adelabad prison of the Iranian central city of Shiraz ever
since and has recently turned 18.
He has been given an ultimatum by the Iranian judiciary to obtain pardon of the family of the deceased or face
execution. The family did not issued a pardon and the death sentence was approved by the head of Iran's judiciary, but after international pressure the file was sent back for a new round of negotiations with the family.

Behnood is convicted of murdering a 19 year old boy called Ehsan, with a soda bottle during a street fight two years ago. Behnood was 17 years of age at the time. A court in Tehran sentenced him to death and the sentence has been confirmed by Iran's supreme court, and is about to be carried out.
Fars news agency reported that the parents of Ehsan have asked for Ghisas (punishment by execution) and Iran's mediation departments are trying to obtain the victims parents pardon to prevent execution. There was no mention if the execution has been approved by Iran's head of judiciary or not.

Hossein Haghi is a 20 year old boy who is facing execution for an alleged murder in August of 2003 at the age of 16. Hossein's was sentenced to death 9 month later. His execution verdict was subsequently approved in June of 2004. Hossein's file has now been sent to Ayatollah Shahrudi, the head of Iran's judiciary for final signature before execution, and he may be executed in the near future.

The death sentence of Javid (20) [last name unknown] has been approved by the Iranian Supreme Court and sent to the "Ejraye Ahkam" (Enforcement of the judgment) section, according to the state-run news agency ISCAnews. Javid is convicted of a murder, in April of 2005. The report published by ISCAnews is not clear about Javid's exact age at the time of the conviction of the crime, since the report calls him "the 20 years old offender". However since the alleged crime was dated back to nearly 3 years ago (2 years and 10 months), there is a high possibility that Javid was under 18 years of age at the time of the alleged offence.

Mehyar is accused of killing his abusive and alcoholic father. According to the report at the time of alleged murder , Mehyar's father was beating up his mother. Mehyar seem to have suffered from temporary insanity at the time. Mehyar's mother is jointly accused of murder of her husband.
Mehyar Haghgoo's death sentence has been confirmed by a court in the city of Rasht, and his execution might not be far away.

Mohammadreza Haddadi was sentenced to death by hanging for an alleged murder of an old man at the age of 15. Mohammadreza is now 18 years old and is kept at the Adelabad prison in the central city of Shiraz, Iran. SAAED JAAZE

Saeed Jazee has been imprisoned since the age of 17 and now at the age of 21 is facing execution. His death by hanging has already been approved by Iran's superior court and is now sent to Ayatollah Shahrudi for final approval.
Saeed's attorney in the letter to Shahrudi explained that Saeed who is a sculpturing artist went to the sandwich shop of his close friend to eat while his family were on vacation. He picked a sandwich and started eating and the new employee, who did not know Saeed started arguing, took the kitchen knife and attacked Saeed . Saeed resisted and the knife fell and Saeed in order to scare and stop the employee picked up the knife but the employee charged towards him while Saeed was holding the knife. After being injured , Saeed tried to help and even other employees who had seen the incident hid the knife since they felt that Saeed was not at fault. Saeed's attorney thinks that the alleged victim was the cause of his own death and he suspects that he may have been under a drug or alcohol influence and states that the body should have been tested for drugs.

SOGHRA NAJAFPOUR

Soghra Najafpour is accused of killing the 8 year old child of an doctor in the city of Rasht, where she lived with the family as a maid since the age of 9. Soghra was 12 years old at the time and denied the charges. She spent all of her adult life, 17 years, in prison and is now 30 years old.
Soghra was released from prison on bail in the beginning of October, but now she has been called by the Judiciary to return to prison. After the family of the victim demanded Soghra's execution, her family were notified that Soghra must report back to the prison authorities within 5 days. Once Soghra realized that upon return to prison she would be executed she ran away scared and has not been seen since.
