Nazanin Afshin-Jam asks UN to send observers, Iran regime fires back

The government of Iran slammed UN Watch demand delivered by SCE's co-founder and president Nazanin Afshin-Jam testifying before a UN panel exposing Iran’s abuses and "fraudulent elections in June, brutal arrest of peaceful protesters, murder of Neda and other innocents, and rape of female and male detainees.". Nazanin and former political prisoner Ahmad Batebi submitted an appeal requesting UN investigators to be sent to Iran.

Following the speech, the Ahmadinejad government fired back, accusing the rights group of “unsubstantiated allegations” and lacking “accuracy and decency.”
